What was the highlight of Marinaterra Hotel
Good budget hotel in San Carlos next to marina
Friendly and accommodating staff that were very helpful, prime location next to the marina in San Carlos (hence the name). Ample guest parking in front of the hotel. Free shuttle that went down to the Marinaterra beach club, also about an 8 min walk. Beach club itself was great, very reasonably priced drinks, swim up bar, ample seating. Walking distance from many bars and restaurants. The Marinaterra condos next to the hotel were really great although we didn't stay there. Recommended and would stay again, but would probably try a deluxe room.
Wi-fi was spotty and stopped working halfway through the trip. Standard double room was clean but very basic. No mini fridge, low water pressure, room phone did not work.

What was the highlight of Marinaterra Hotel
Wonderful
Staff were wonderful, the front desk staff were very courteous, the housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant staff were amazing and attentive.
It seemed as though the hotel was under some renovations ( which is a good thing), however it made for a very mild inconvenience getting through the lobby.

A lovely place, with some downsides
The location on the marina is excellent. It is a beautiful property, and the public areas are clean, well maintained and attractive. The suite was amazing, with a beautiful view and a functional kitchen.
The bedroom mattress was several years old, and had been flattened by use. Also, the WiFi was spotty to non-existent. I had hoped to be able to log in and work using the hotel's WiFi, but it was not strong/consistent enough to allow a good connection.
